Different
days for different dogs
TUESDAY
and WEDNEDAY have a mix of big
and little dogs. Dogs must be able to play and interact with both small
and large dogs, exhibit no prey drive and not intimidate others. Half
day, casual and short term dogs are welcome.
THURSDAY is big dog
day. In general dogs are around Labrador size – and energetic –
and boisterous. Most smaller dogs do not cope with the high level of
activity that occurs on a Thursday. Thursday dogs must attend for
the full day – no casuals, half-days or drop ins – this allows the dogs
to be as settled as possible and avoids unnecessary excitement. All
dogs attending on Thursday must arrive before 9.30 am and be picked up
after 4.30 pm.
FRIDAY is little dog
day. Dogs that attend on Fridays must be small in either body
size, temperament or both. In general, dogs are Standard Schnauzer,
Cocker Spaniel size or smaller. Larger dogs, like Golden
Retrievers are able to attend, provided they are gentle and non
intimidating to the smaller dogs and have no obvious prey drive (which
means most Golden Retrievers are fine!). Half days, casuals, short term
and new
dogs are welcome.
